By order of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov, Martin Danovsky has been appointed Deputy Minister of Innovation and Growth.

Martin Danovsky is an economist with over 20 years of experience in business and state administration. Master of Economics, specialization “Marketing and Strategic Planning”, at the University of National and World Economy and Master of Engineering and Technical Sciences, specialization “Landscape Planning” at the University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.

In the period of October 2015 – March 2021 is an adviser in the office of the Deputy Prime Minister for European funds with field of activity of economic policy, investments, innovations and financial instruments. During the same period, he participated in the creation and was member of the Board of Directors of “Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria”, as of 2016 until 2021 he is its chairman.

In 2021 Danovsky structures and leads the State Agency for Scientific Research and Innovation under the Council of Ministers, holding the position until March 2022. For the same period, he was the head of the Governing Body of the Research, Innovation and Digitalization for Smart Transformation Programme, which priorities are digitization of the public sector, public data reform and cyber security.

Until January 2025 he was Deputy Minister of Finance.
