Japan can be a key partner for Bulgaria in creating the new wave of innovation. It is important to strive for the achievement of higher goals in the field of innovation, for the development of new products and services that benefit the solution of global challenges. This was stated by the Minister of Innovation and Growth Milena Stoycheva at a meeting with the Ambassador of Japan H.E. Hiroshi Narahira.
“One of the main priorities of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth is to turn Bulgaria into a place where high-tech innovations are created on the basis of scientific and research activity and intellectual potential”, said Minister Stoycheva during the meeting. According to her, the academic community in Bulgaria is very well developed and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth should promote the commercialization of science in business.
The ambassador of Japan stated that Bulgaria has a huge potential for development in the field of high-tech innovations and the two countries can interact in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics and space technologies.
Minister Stoycheva and H.E. Hiroshi Narahira also discussed the deepening of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Japan regarding the development of innovations in tourism and culture. The two also commented on the activities of the Institute for Computer Sciences, Artificial Intelligence and Technologies – INSAIT and the continuation of the good cooperation and expansion of interaction of INSAIT with representatives of the scientific community in Japan with the support of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth.
