Bulgaria can be a leader in creating of the new wave of innovation in the region. Our country can become a destination for investments in research and development with high added value. This was stated by the Minister of Innovation and Growth Milena Stoycheva at a meeting with the US Ambassador H.E. Kenneth Merten.
Minister Stoycheva and H.E. Kenneth Merten discussed deepening the cooperation between Bulgaria and the USA in the field of innovation in sectors such as education, research and development, health care, energy, defense, culture and creative industries, etc.
“The entrepreneurial ecosystem in Bulgaria is well developed and one of the priorities of the Ministry of Innovation and Growth is to support and encourage it. We will also work to create a basis for interaction between large companies and startups”, minister Stoycheva said during the meeting. According to her, the Ministry of Innovation and Growth envisages the implementation of key policies in the direction of a green, digital and socially fair transition.
Ambassador Merten stated that Bulgaria has a huge potential for development and talented people in the field of technology.
The Minister of Innovation and Growth and H.E. Kenneth Merten also discussed the development of the automotive sector and the attraction of investments in the country.
